Are They Good Enough for Student-Centered And Constructivist Class? Investigation into Teachers’ and Students’ Perception towards Mathematics Textbooks for Junior High Schools in Ghana

This study aims to investigate into the perception both students and teachers hold towards mathematics textbook in public Basic Schools Ghana explore whether textbooks are good enough help implement learner-centered constructivist approach teaching of mathematics. Specifically, it examines teachers' points view on problems current had contributed abysmal performance basic schools as stated TIMSS report data available from West African Examination Council Education certificate 2010-2014 or not helped deliver right kind instruction: student-centered learning classroom.
